Project 01
GEOFIT Project:
The innovation project Geofit is developing a holistic and novel approach to geothermal retrofitting, which is cost-competitive, easy to install, and capable of providing efficient low-temperature heating & high-temperature cooling by using the most innovative tools and methods.
To drive the energy renovation of buildings we need solutions – and fast. Geofit as a whole offers many significant advantages that take geothermal systems to the next level, such as large
energy savings, integration into a single system for both cooling and heating, free environmental energy, high energy
efficiency, long-lasting system and very low maintenance.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s H2020 Programme.
Project 02
Air cleaning as a complement to the ventilation, Part of Annex 78
IEA EBC Annex 78 - Supplementing Ventilation with Gas-phase Air Cleaning, Implementation and Energy Implications
The proposed Annex should bring researchers and industry together to investigate the possible energy benefits by using gas-phase air cleaners (partial substitute for ventilation) and establish procedures for improving indoor air quality or a reduced amount of ventilation by gas-phase air cleaning. The project shall also establish a test method for air cleaners that considers the influence on the perceived air quality and substances in the indoor air.
This project funded by the Swedish Energy Agency (Energimyndigheten) E2B2 Program.
Project 03
Low-temperature heating and High-temperature cooling with thermal storage for increased energy and environmental gains, Annex 37
In this Annex, we investigate the present situation of smart design and control strategy of energy storage systems for both demand-side and supply side. The research results will be organized as design materials and operational guidelines. Specifically, artificial intelligence that has developed significantly in recent years can be expected to make a significant contribution to the smart design and control systems. This Annex also covers the availability of artificial intelligence.
